Terms of Service

Last updated September 2026
Introduction

These terms govern your use of ngdomain's website and services, including domain registration, transfer and management. By using our services, you agree to these terms and to NIRA's registration policies for the .ng namespace.

User Agreements & Responsibilities

You are responsible for providing accurate registrant information, keeping your account credentials secure, and renewing domains before they expire. You confirm that registering a domain through us does not infringe on any third party's trademark or other rights.

Restrictions & Prohibited Uses

You may not use our services to register domains for phishing, malware distribution, trademark infringement, or any unlawful purpose. We reserve the right to suspend or cancel a registration that violates these terms or NIRA policy.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for a breach of these terms. You may cancel at any time; cancelling does not entitle you to a refund for services already rendered, except as required by law or stated at checkout.

Limitation of Liability

Our services are provided "as is." To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of our services, including loss of a domain due to non-renewal.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Common Questions

What happens if I don't renew on time? Your domain enters a grace period, then a redemption period with additional fees, before it's released for registration by others.

Can I transfer out to another registrar? Yes — unlock the domain and request the auth code from your account, then use it with your new registrar.
